Welcome Chitty Garbage Service Customers. Aspen Waste Systems is excited for the customers of Chitty to join the Aspen family, a privately owned, independent hauler operating in the Des Moines and Ames areas. In 1990, we started in Minneapolis with one truck and have grown into a regional waste and recycling hauler, while operating with the same spirit of customer service that characterized the Chitty family. In many ways you can expect business as usual, with friendly and timely pickup of your trash and recycling.

You will receive your first bill from Aspen in October, 2020.

Commercial customers are billed monthly. Commercial customers are billed at the beginning of each month for that month’s service (e.g. billing for November is mailed at the beginning of November).

Residential customers are billed quarterly. Residential customers will receive their first bill at the end of October, 2020. You will continue to be billed at the end of the month before the next quarter of service begins.

Aspen collects payment via mail, ACH or credit card.

To pay by ACH or credit card, register for Aspen’s Online Bill Pay and Aspen’s E-Bill. Register here.

Once your account is created you can:

  • Get your Aspen bill via email (pdf).
  • Get email notification when your bill is ready to review and pay online.
  • Pay your bill by credit card or bank account.
  • Sign up for automatic payments.

To register for Aspen’s Online Bill Pay and Aspen’s E-Bill you will need your Aspen customer number from your billing statement and your Aspen access code which was sent to you via email or postal-mailed letter.
